Below is the comment I added several years ago. Since that time, we have always used Shaw Plumbing. Now that they do heating and air, that's an added plus. Jason and Dalton were just here and we had our annual mini boiler cleaned. So happy that Shaw now has heating included. They did a great job, very polite, always happy with anything that Shaw does in our house! We just moved from Los Angeles to Washington 2 months ago. We were prepared, in advance, that due to the age of the home there would be repairs needed. We contacted a few plumbing companies for bids on getting rid of the galvanized pipes, replacing with Pex. We contacted Shaw Plumbing for a bid. I went through everything with Tracy, then Hank. Hank provided us with a very fair bid. They just finished the job with minimal holes in the walls! We were extremely happy with the results!! They were here for 3 days and while here they were very friendly and respectful. We will never use any other plumber and we will always recommend them. Thank you so very much Hank, Tracy, and Clay!!!

The Shaw folks installed a cartridge filter and replaced our malfunctioning ball valve today. Or at least that was the original plan. They were also going to replace the pressure sensor on the sediment tank, which had had a slow leak for a long time. Well, that turned into a bigger deal. Come to find out, the "T" right out of the tank was corroded and cracked, most likely from the initial installation. So they tried to repair first, and when that didn't work, we decided on a new pressure tank and "T." It was past the original timeline, but they ran out to the supply store, got the required parts, and came back to finish the job so we'd have water tonight. We are so appreciative of George and Clay's hard work. We also had Jason on the HVAC side replace a squeaky part. He went the extra mile and found some other issues at the same time. We highly recommend Shaw's! You won't be disappointed.

Shaw's Plumbing Services is F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C!!! My house was built in 1946 and badly needed a new irrigation system, but some plumbing had to be done before a new system could be connected. It appears the old system was replaced at least once, maybe twice after the original system was installed. The original irrigation system was installed around the same time the foundation was laid. The old 2-inch galvanized pipe had to be replaced with 1-inch copper. A new shutoff ball valve replaced the old, non-functional gate valve. My technician did an excellent job under a less-than-ideal work environment. There was a cupboard built around the original plumbing, and all the external wood panels had to be removed for access to the plumbing, leaving only the framing studs in place. Work performed by the assigned technician was meticulous and to the specs required by irrigation team installers. Shaw's Plumbing Services was unanimously recommended to me by two other contracting outfits doing some work for me. I can see why Shaw's was the go-to plumbing service after the job Shaw’s technician did for me. And... Shaw’s quote was well under three other bids from competing plumbing companies. Between glowing recommendations from other installation outfits, Shaw's fair pricing, and Shaw’s guarantee for a job done correctly, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Shaw's plumbing to my friends and family - and to you, too, if you're reading this! Cory was excellent. Was able to show up an hour after I placed a call to Shaw Plumbing. No house-call charge. He was competent and efficient, and completed the repair of a couple broken pipes and installation of water heater straps on the spot. He also provided clear explanations to questions raised. He came across as detail-oriented, and made an extra effort when one task required more time and materials than expected. Fair pricing with no add-ons. Highest recommendation.

Updating my previous review since I've had a couple more projects with Shaw. I still recommend them overall, and will use them in the future, but wanted to give a more detailed review. Projects completed: - Replacing a couple of leaking pipes - Replacing HWT and bringing up to code - Installing washing machine hookup, drain line and venting, and bringing it all up to code Pros: - Friendly service, have a good reputation, and have been recommended to me by multiple people. - Transparent and fair pricing. - High-quality workmanship and conscientious on-site customer service from Nathan, Brandon and Matt. - Quickly provided estimates and accurate scopes of work. - Provided clear answers to questions. Setbacks: - Communication around project estimates and inspection scheduling was challenging. I had to proactively follow up over the phone a couple of times, and I do wish they were reachable by email and/or text too like some of their competitors are. - A 2-day project turned into a 5-day project due to a scheduling error. It happens, and the team did their best to get the job done as quickly as possible, but having an open trench in my basement floor for 5 days led to moisture issues in my basement that I'm still having to dehumidify a few weeks after the project was completed. - I was told I'd receive a call from the office letting me know what day the inspector would be coming out for final inspection; I never received that call and the inspector showed up unexpectedly. Luckily, I was home to let him in!

The quality and price of work that Shaw Plumbing services provides is exemplary. We originally contacted Roto Rooter for a quote and it was 3X the cost for the scope of work that was done before looking at other companies. Shaw came out on top compared to other plumbing companies in the area as far as price and scope of what they handled. After uncovering a larger job than previously anticipated, Shaw gave a very reasonable price to cut 30’ of concrete, reroute drain pipe, remove concrete, replace all our old cast iron pipe, and then patch up the concrete in our basement. We had the pleasure of working with Mekie who handled everything from start to finish. Not only did his expertise shine in the quality of his work, but he also was very helpful explaining all the details of each step and going the extra mile. Mekie was the main reason we went forward with using Shaw’s services. They do not deal directly with insurance but they were able to work with us to present their work in a manner that our insurance could help mitigate some of the costs. We would 100% work with Shaw Plumbing again for any future plumbing needs.

Shaw's service was at my house within an hour of our phone call. They had already installed a hot water tank (kudos to George), very professional and very knowledgeable. Outstanding work on the pipes and then they came back two weeks later for a leak in our main bathroom that was not related to the water tank. Great company.
